Geology Building Garden

Project Information

Project Overview:

As part of a construction services project to replace the sidewalk along the east side of the Geology Building, Landscape Services took the opportunity to renovate the surrounding landscape.

The previous landscape consisted primarily of invasive callery pear trees and aging junipers. These plants were removed to create an opportunity for a more diverse and sustainable planting design.

The updated landscape features Sun Valley maples, panicle hydrangeas, low-growing chokeberries, perennials and ornamental grasses. The new plantings provide increased diversity while adding color, texture and seasonal interest to this area of campus.
